Unwrapping a Marriage by Reana Malori and Michel Prince #Contemporary #Romance

Reana Malori and Michel Prince will be awarding a $15 Amazon or Barnes and Noble GC to a randomly drawn winner via rafflecopter during the tour.

If your book were made into a movie, who would you want to play your main characters?
Michel- For Sterling I would say Morris Chestnut, Idris Elba or Taye Diggs, for Elizabeth Darby Stanchfield or Bryce Dallas Howard.
Reana – I agree with Michel on this one. She picked the absolute perfect people!

How do you come up with the titles of your books?
Michel- For me it’s something in the book that triggers it. For this one we are dissecting a marriage and unwrapping the layers all during Christmas.
Reana – I try to choose a title that tells the reader what they’re getting. The title should give some insight into the story and set the tone.

What does your writing space look like?
Michel- I don’t have a designated space for writing. Have laptop will travel and if I don’t have that I usually have a notebook with me.
Reana – I usually write in my office at home, surrounded by other books that I’ve purchased and read. It’s a very neat space that has bits and pieces of my love of reading all around.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?
Michel- I love going to movies, plays, and I spend a lot of time at sporting events. I’m a football ball fan (American) and my son plays both football and basketball so I’m usually doing something around that.
Reana – Dancing, watching movies, and a lot of reading. Since my day job can be stressful, my enjoyment comes from things that really just allow me to relax and decompress.

What is your favourite color?
Michel-Lilac. The pale purple is beautiful.
Reana – Red. It’s bold.

What is your favourite pleasure food?
Michel-A good strawberry shortcake or cheesecake is hard to pass up.
Reana – Potatoes. Sounds weird, I know, but there’s a recipe that I grew up on that makes everything better.

What is your favourite season?
Michel- Although I usually get tired of it by March I’m a winter girl. It’s a curl up and snuggle in season.
Reana – Spring. It’s renewal and fresh starts, and we all need a fresh start.

What is your favourite television show?
Michel-Oh that’s hard, my favorites that are currently on TV are Game of Thrones, Walking Dead and American Horror Story.
Reana – Well, I have a few favorites that highlight personality, but as of today, This is Us, Walking Dead, and Criminal Minds.

What is your favourite movie?
Michel-Again that’s really hard, but some of my favorites are Sliding Doors, Open Range, and Inside Out.
Reana – Bridges of Madison County, P.S., I Love You, and The First Wives Club.

Who is your favourite actor?
Michel-For skill Brad Pitt, he’s not just a pretty face.
Reana – I don’t really have a favorite actor. I simply enjoy the movie / story.

What is your favourite song?
Michel-Love is Your Name by Steven Tyler
Reana – Not sure if I have a favorite song, but one of my all-time favorite groups is The Beach Boys.

What is your favourite comfort clothing attire?
Michel-I’m usually found in a cami and a long maxi skirt with a cardigan.
Reana – Oversized pajama pants and a baggy t-shirt.

What books might we find on your bedside table?
Michel-One of the Dark Hunter books from Sherrlyn Kenyon, the latest Philippa Gregory book and probably a James Patterson book.
Reana – Several Eve Vaughn and Bridget Midway books.

Describe yourself in three words.
Michel-Sarcastic spoiled princess.
Reana – Driven. Analytical. Romantic.

What do you do when the love that once set you free, feels like it’s holding you prisoner?

Sterling and Elizabeth Jackson have built a life most would envy. A beautiful home, two wonderful children and a very comfortable lifestyle. Yet something is tearing them apart. With divorce looming, they are trying to make it through the holiday season for their family.

With clashing schedules, demands from employers and two busy kids, the former lovers have managed to stay out of each other’s orbit, at least for a while. But Fate, or maybe their well-meaning family, has set them up on a collision course.

Past memories bubble up to the surface and there’s nothing to stem the flow. What once was amazing has turned hurtful and full of pain. But is that the real story? Is it too late for a couple who once lived and breathed for each other to find their way back?

There’s a thin line between love and hate. Will Sterling and Elizabeth be able to mend a love that seems broken and lost, or will the final pull on the holiday ribbon unwrap their last chance to save their marriage.

Excerpt
Pulling herself together as the memory faded, Beth put on a pair of fuzzy pajama bottoms and an old t-shirt from college. With her hair already in a ponytail, she was ready for bed. When she opened the closet door, the sound of a shower caught her, quickly followed by steam. The glass of their shower door was misted over but she could still make out Sterling’s dark form inside. His hands were locked together with his fingers splayed. Catching water in his palms, then bringing them over his head to rinse the soap from his skin, his back arched. Beth’s core clenched. How long had it been since he’d touched her? Since she’d been touched at all? Her eyes traveled down his body making out the smudged form through the glass. If the old adage about the first husband being all about good looks, then he hit it on all levels. Traces of white trailed along his dark skin from the soap and she leaned against the doorjamb to watch the show. He wouldn’t be thinking she was ogling him and technically, he was still her husband.

She shifted and moved away when her hand grazed the extra flesh of her stomach. No wonder he wasn’t groping at her. She wasn’t the same young woman he’d met all those years ago. Life changed her. No, she’d allowed herself to change and as a result, it changed his attraction to her. After the divorce was final, if she ever wanted to be touched again, something would need to be done.

The shower turned off. She pulled away from the bathroom door and crawled into her side of the bed. Facing away from the en suite bathroom, she buried her face in her pillow and wondered when the man of her dreams had begun to despise the sight of her.
