REVIEW: W7 Nail Polish

So. I was in Chemist Warehouse the other day and came across the W7 range of nail polish. I know its been around for ages but I don't normally go to Chemist Warehouse simply because there isn't one near me.

I'm not going to lie to you - at $2.99 a bottle I went slightly crazy... The range of colours is amazing. And for anyone just starting out with polish or simply don't want to pay big dollars (i.e.: me!) then this is a great polish.

But... I feel obligated to warn you. This stuff stinks. Bad. The smell reminds me of really cheap acrylic paint. However, if you can get past the scent it's not a bad polish.

The black polish is fantastic. You could get away with one thick coat or two thin coats to get an opaque coverage. The white takes a little extra work. It's not as thick as the black and even after 4 coats I still did not have a completely opaque coverage.

I stamped using the W7 black polish. Bonus.

Would I recommend this product? Yes. It is what it is. Nothing special. But not too shabby either!

I also used a MoYou stamping plate, Ready For Take Off base coat by UNT and Seche Vite top coat. I picked up the silver detail from ebay.

Feeling dotty with O.P.I

Feeling a little dotty - inspired by IG: @mysimplelittlepleasures

I used #madformadnesssake by #opi - it's from their #AliceThroughTheLookingGlass #Collection.

For the dots I used #MoYou #stamping #polish in #gold and #silver, although I didn't use #stamper instead I used a #dottingtool for the small dots and the end of my #cleanup #brush for the large dots. I used a #matte #topcoat by #BarryM - and I have to say I am in love with this topcoat. It's the best one I've ever used. And it's only $8 from #BigW

OMG! Look what I found in #BigW - I #love #BarryM I used to live in the #UK and aside from missing my friends when I returned to #Australia I absolutely miss being able to duck into #Boots and stock up on BarryM #nailpolish

I understand #BarryM has been available for months in #Australia - however, I don't have a #BigW near where I live hence my late #wahooo

They didn't have near the range of colours the UK have. But I'm not sure if that's because the entire range isn't being released here or my local BigW just didn't have all the colours. Either way, I'm doing a #happydance 

Ella and Mila

I love these  IG: @ellamilapolish polishes. The colours are gorgeous and they go on nice and easy - especially #OnThinIce (silver glitter). I used two coats of #OnThinIce and #RosyCheeks (pink). However, to get an opaque coverage using #MyBlueBaby (blue) I needed three coats - this colour also has a nice #shimmery look to it in the bottle.

It was a complete fluke I used the elephant #nailvinyl from IG: @twinkled_t - in fact it wasn't until I took the photos did I realise the bottle had an elephant on it!  For the single chevron I used a nail tip guide.
